Another blog had a post this morning titled ‘Balls’. It involved the throwing of heavy leather balls between wipes on a progression fight, with the author being upset that people were using energy on that instead of putting all their energy into the fight, and ultimately leaving both the raid and eventually the guild as well. SR may not have heavy leather balls, but we do have Ballz, and dammit, we know how to have fun. The two nights we spent wiping on Nef last week, we had out D.I.S.C.O., the ogre pinata, the foam sword rack … you name it, Arv’s got it in his bags. And we made progress and had fun at the same time. If you’re not having fun, well … maybe you’re in the wrong guild.
So last night, it’s an hour before our ICC drake achievements run. I’m on Arelin mining ore in Deepholm, when Arv types in gchat that he has a new toy and wants volunteers to come try it out. Well, he didn’t have to ask twice, we love his toys! The result was that pretty much everyone online who wasn’t in an instance was invited to a raid group and summoned back to Org for a toy party. The toy in question? War Party Hitching Post.
You just click on that hitching post there, and it puts you on a horse. Now, if you’re Alliance, this might not be quite as exciting … you get horses to ride anyway. But for Hordies? Ya mon, we be likin it!
