It Goes To 11

May 30, 2014

Well, that’s it. Finally there. All eleven classes at max level.

There were so many lockboxes in my guild bank that I couldn’t take it anymore, so over the last couple of evenings I took Al out questing. As always, he had a grand time with his Glyph of Disguise. He turned into mantid …

and also into saurok. Apparently the disguise didn’t fool Kovok, though. Perhaps it was the smell … I’m sure Forsaken and saurok both smell bad, but not the same kind of bad.

The first thing I did was buy flying for him because, well, if I do anything at all other than open lockboxes, he’s going to want to fly. He nearly made back as much as he spent when he opened all of those boxes, though. Then I had Oranis dig out some Timeless gear to send him. Hmm … that helm looked awesome on a femtaur druid but on him? yeah … no. Might have to spend some of his lockbox gold on transmog.

Side topic … the Azeroth Choppers bikes are done! What did you all think? I loved the shine and polish of the Alliance bike … but those tank treads. I’m sorry, but tank treads are not Alliance. I totally would have voted for that bike if it had wheels with some shiny silver spokes. They could have done some aluminum and bronze to compliment the awesome metalwork on the rest of the bike and I would have blown the dust off my Alliance just to ride it. Oh well. Now, a trike with tank treads on the back and an oversized front tire SCREAMS Horde. I’m fond of trikes anyway so … yeah. It’s not pretty but then, it’s not supposed to be. It is, however, badass. Van can’t wait to get his hands on it.

Up To No Good

So, I’ve won with a warlock deck the past couple of days in Hearthstone. I don’t play any of the so-called zoo decks or what have you. I just toss some demons and other stuff in. I got Twisting Nether in a pack recently and have had a lot of fun erasing the board with it.

Anyhow, since I won with the lock deck, I took Madorsa out to play. However, since she’s already done all of the LFRs at least once, and I had been in LFR over the weekend with Paddey, I decided to find something else for her to do … namely, collect enchanting recipes that she is missing. Some of this involves buying recipes from vendors using mats as the currency. So of course, I needed more Heavenly Shards and figured the best way to get some would be dungeons.

So Madorsa went to Stonecore and did what any warlock with any sense would do … killed almost everyone and took over the place.

Some of it also involves bind on pickup recipes dropped by bosses. Kael’thas in Magisters’ Terrace drops like three different ones. So of course, she headed there as well. And on her first ever run of Terrace, she got the Orb of the Sin’dorei. She was pretty disgusted with me for actually making her use it, though.

So yeah, I’m having a lot of fun on my non-raid days just dinking around on all my alts.

Good Riddance

Chalk up one more heroic victory. Malkorok is down.

WoWScrnShot_052114_215256

Now, before you go saying ‘well yeah but patch = nerf’ let me tell you that the guild downed him on Monday while I listened on vent. I was in as the third healer while we learned the heroic mechanics, but when it came time to two heal so as to beat the enrage, I sat out in favour of our other ranged dps. We have exactly 11 people on the roster at the moment, so we rotate in and out depending on specific needs. But they wasted no time getting me in for my kill.

This is one of those fights where I’m more than happy to be ret instead of holy. heh. Half the raid doesn’t need gear off him and wants to sit it out though, so I’m sure they’re going to make me heal it sooner or later.

Thank You Blizz!

From today’s 5.4.8 patch notes:

Going to Need a Bigger Bag is now an account-wide achievement and items obtained by all characters on the account now contribute credit towards completion. This means the achievement can be completed by obtaining all the required items across multiple characters instead of having a single character obtain all the items needed.

Now I can work on this on whichever alt I bring to the Timeless Isle. I don’t suppose it gives you credit for what you’ve already picked up previously though. But still … yay!
