Play Time!

At the end of the workday, I will officially be on vacation for a week. That means extra time to play! It probably also means no posts. Sorry about that.

The other day I was browsing Warcraft Pets to see what I had missed so far. (Note to self: remember to visit the ley ruins in Northern Azsuna at night for that manafiend.) I had done all the quests at Bradensbrook, or so I thought, but had totally missed Grumpy in the burning farmhouse! Look at this cute little face, I think he’s my favorite pet so far this expansion, and I missed him!

So I quickly read the notes and most suggested getting Fighter Chow food for the quick regen because running through the fire hurts, especially if you stop in the wrong place and are still in it. But it also said there was a clear spot on the landing, and a clear spot around Grumpy himself. So Hunahuna went and used her answer to all things that cause damage when you run through them … bear form! (If you remember, she used it in her artifact quest to run through the grabby spirit arms instead of using her ranged Solar Beam interrupt to just stop it from being cast.) It worked perfectly, and Grumpy was mine. Yay!

Back in the Saddle

Ok, I’m back! Mom was here for 5 weeks and we had a lot of fun. But I couldn’t play while she was here. SO … now that most of you are sick of Tanaan, I am just getting started over there.

The first thing I did, now that you can mog Admiral Taylor’s weapons, was to put Sanbec in the Stormwind guard armor you get from the War Mill and add the good Admiral’s swords. Put him on the palomino and damn he looks hot.

He did a couple of dungeons this weekend because it was the bonus rep weekend (not mythic, just regular), got honored with the main Tanaan faction so he could build battleships, and faked his way through the first wing of LFR. I didn’t even read the Blizzard Watch 5 minute guide to the wing, I just went in blind and followed the minimal instructions handed out in chat. I mean, it was Tuesday LFR, you know? I’ll do another wing tonight and actually read about it this time (maybe).

Oh yeah, and it’s Faire time, too! Surprisingly, it only took two tries to get myself a Hogs.

I was a little bit disappointed that he’s so small, but oh well. That’s what biscuits are for, right? Oh yeah, I finally got Syd this week, too, but I forgot to take a screenshot.

I don’t know if I’ll be back to writing 3 days a week or not, but expect at least one post a week. 🙂

A Tisket, A Tasket

Ten days since last post. I’m slacking! It’s not that I haven’t been playing. Well, ok, it sort of is. I mean, come on, we had the release of the new Hearthstone adventure AND a new season in D3 in the last two weeks.

Speaking of which, obligatory rainbow shot:

Yes, I know it’s dark. Apparently she was there at night? I dunno. Anyhow … I made a Crusader this time. I’m going back and forth each season between melee and ranged. Season 1 was barbarian, 2 was demon hunter, so this one had to be either crusader or monk.

Also, what IS it about this silly game that makes it so addictive? I mean, it’s grinding the same thing over and over. Oh sure, there are several different kinds of bounties, and the maps for the rifts are never the same twice. They add new things every season too, like a new type of bounty and several new kinds of treasure goblins, not to mention the new legendaries. But it’s still the same, and I still keep coming back. There’s just something about the mindless slaying of demons and the piles of loot exploding out of them.

As for WoW, the new pet got me to participate in Noblegarden. At least for a couple of hours. I picked up eggs on Oranis, the only one of my three mages who did not have the Polymorph: Rabbit spell yet. I’m a lazy egg collector; I don’t race around town, I park myself in a spot where I can pick up three different spawn points without ever moving my character. Bloodhoof Village was very busy, so I teleported over to UC and flew to Brill. I actually have always preferred picking them up in Brill anyway. So I got my spot and sat there watching tv and picking up chocolates. It was actually quite relaxing. Then I hopped on over to UC with my flower basket in tow.

What the heck? Was there a patch or something?

So, I got a mission to get that darn SELFIE camera. But not on one of my 100s. So Arelin, guess what? I mean, you’re already 97 and leading the pack to be next anyway, but now your fate is sealed. So here is probably the last NON-selfie pic you will get of him. It also shows how sexy he looks. The patch seems to have changed the hair colours so this is as dark as it gets, unfortunately.

Van dropped in to turn over his missions and see who was visiting his garrison, and ended up with the best. minion. evar. I mean really, who’s gonna mess with you when Saurfang has your back?

Stormwing seems to be suitably impressed. You can also see there in the background the new Deathwatch Hatchling from the guild achievement for all CM golds. I’ve never done CMs but fortunately, my guild has plenty of serious people who knocked them out pretty quickly, allowing the rest of us slackers the opportunity to buy this. So my buddy Bocat came over and made a DK so she can get one too. It only requires getting exalted with the guild, which is pretty easy. So once she got to Org I went to visit her and give her some bags because those 12 slot things are just not big enough. We got out the toybox and I bought myself a glyph of play dead and we had a good time goofing off.
