Class 6 and Season 5

February 8, 2016

Yeah, I know, you thought the blog was dead, didn’t you? Well it mostly is,  but I figured I should at least post big things, traditions, ya know? Like Rainbow shots …

Yeah, that’s the ‘new’ wizard I made for season 5. I say ‘new’ in quotes because I used the new rebirth feature to restart my level 20-something wizard over. I think he’s twice that level now, somewhere in the 40s. I dunno, I haven’t played in a week. The Faire started yesterday so I did something else instead …

Yep, that’s Alestav the rogue finishing his leveling and getting my 6th class to level 100, joining Death Knight, Hunter, Mage, Paladin and Warrior as my finished classes. So I only have 4 to go. Ok 5 really, but one of them is going to get the level 100 boost that comes with Legion. Probably my level 69 dwarf shaman, although I am also considering the worgen druid who is level 40-something. It wouldn’t take long to level her to 60 so she could get the professions. I’m going with one of those because I also have two professions to get to 600, leatherworking and inscription, which would be appropriate for either one of them. I also have a level 59 human rogue who would have been a nice choice had I not already had Ales almost leveled.

Rep Galore

September 23, 2015

The Draenor Dungeon bonus event went perfectly with the title of this blog. Even though Van is the one who has the most reputations already, since I’ve been maining Sanbec I stuck with him. Fortunately, a lot of people seemed to be doing them, because the dps queue was only around 12-14 minutes the entire week. I managed to get exalted with the Council of Exarchs, revered with the Steamwheedle Preservation Society, and honored with the Sha’tari Defense. He also got to exalted with two of the three Tanaan factions doing his quests there while in queue. These got me many pets and mounts.

Aside from that, I’m also still working on An Awfully Big Adventure and getting rep on the Timeless Isle. While Van was there this week, there was a lineup of people on Cloud Serpents waiting for Huolon to spawn. Since I still need that mount as well, I joined in the display.

Also this week marks the beginning of Brewfest. I haven’t really paid much attention to it the past couple of years, but this year they added a pet and toy, and there are at least two other toys that I don’t have, so I figured I might as well do some. It really takes no time at all to get 100 tokens, in fact you can do it in one day. Two of the items I need cost 100 and two cost 200, so I’m doing four characters … two of them only have to go for one day and get the 100 token items, and the other two have to kill Coren for a few days to get to 200. No big deal. It’s really faster this way if you have multiple alts to do all of the intro quests on instead of trying to earn all of the items with one character.

Of course, Karius had to stop for a selfie after killing Coren Direbrew.

This week’s bonus event is pet battles, so you can bet I will be out there leveling pets!

So Legendary

May 27, 2015

So, I’m playing again. Not that I ever actually stopped but, I mean, I’m back to spending the majority of my playtime in WoW.

So, over the weekend, Sanbec decided it was way past time to finish collecting the 900 elemental thingies for Khadgar. Since he already had well over 800, it seemed likely that he could get it done very soon with just a little bit of luck. He ended his run of The Black Forge with some 893 tokens and, finally, a shiny new axe. Since his followers were on a mission to bring back some more doodads, he just logged and waited for the next day to collect them and do the quests.

After a quick and easy quest to get yet another bauble for Khadger, he released Garona from Gul’dan’s control. Then we went and she helped us stealth through an Iron Horde stronghold and find some plans and do some eavesdropping, and then we got her as a follower.

So yay, that’s done … on one character. Juna has 600 some and Van only has 300 some, so I don’t know if I will ever finish on a second character or not. It seems .. strange, to have my most-progressed toon be one that I have never done formal raiding on. And, well, he’s certainly no flavour of the month, being specced arms all this time.

He did change his offspec to fury last night though. He had to, in order to equip these and get the achievement:

Yeah, no pets, but, on the run in which he hit exalted with the Ashtongue, he also collected the second glaive. How is that for fast??

You Are What You Eat

I guess Oregorger has had too much, eh?

That one was a fun LFR. We had a nice group, with an awesome bear tank and a ret paladin pulling 40k, and each time a wing ended and the new one popped, there they were along with several others from the group, so I kept going instead of dropping after one wing like I often do. They didn’t seem to be queued together, they were all from different realms, but sometimes it will work out like that when people have all queued for multiple wings.

Have a great Easter weekend!
