Four More Weapons

September 7, 2016

Moving on to the next four weapons that I collected over the weekend.

Fist of Ra-den

I’m sure I’m not the only who, when leveling through Pandaria, would have liked to give Li Li and Chen a lava burst to the face. Well, here’s your chance! Going back to the Temple of the White Tiger was appropriately silly and fun. While a great number of the other quests were very dark, this one is maybe a little too lighthearted, but hey, that’s the Pandaren for you.

The Warbreaker

Um … hey … wow. Whatever they did to arms, I’m liking it. Maybe even better than fury right now. And now I get why warriors are dropping out of the sky on Krasus’ Landing!

Blade of the Black Empire

Meh. Shadow hasn’t really changed that much but I’m not really feeling it. And I don’t care that much what the weapon is because it all looks the same in shadowform anyway.

The Dreadblades

Wow, my steath-fu without the extra stealthiness of subtlety is weak. The quest was full of piratey goodness though.

Welcome, Blizzard Watch

February 4, 2015

Most of you who care already know, but the folks who formerly worked at WoW Insider have launched a replacement site at Blizzard Watch. They will be funded by contributions from their readers/supporters through Patreon. Enough people have contributed already for them to definitely be able to get the site underway with everything that they want it to have, including columns that we all loved that were cut last year when they were forced to downsize. How’s that for community?

On to my in-game activites. Juna upgraded her barn to level 3 a couple of weeks ago. Now, trapping wolves for fur was only a secondary reason for her to have a barn. The number one reason is this Glass of Warm Milk that can spawn inside of it. It took a couple of weeks for it to spawn, and then some practice with Aviana’s Feather to manage landing inside the second floor, but she did it.

Looting that gives you the cutest pet ever, the Pygmy Cow.

She really needs to have a talk with her minions about burning candles inside the barn though. Hay + fire = very bad things.

In other news, Oslee finally made his way to Draenor, and since Sanbec is arms, Oslee changed his spec to fury so he wouldn’t feel the same. I used to not like fury, but, you know, that was Wrath and a lot has changed since then. I mean, I can be fury and still charge and bladestorm now, so it’s all good. And he does look badass with two big weapons.

Boost Baby

April 7, 2014

Ok, I finally made up my mind. I was having a hard time deciding between Oslee the warrior or Oslen the hunter. Yes, they’re brothers. There was a third, older brother, Osler the priest, but he died in a tragic I-don’t-need-two-undead-priests-on-one-server-group accident. (Nevermind that I now have 3 belf paladins on the same pair of servers … )

Here is Oslee passing through the dark portal:

Anyway, based on research and advice from a post over at Sportsbard, plus my recent decision to finally break down and transfer the rest of my 85+ Horde to Kargath-Norgannon, I decided to get BS and LW both on the boosted character. Obviously, this would mean that whichever one I boosted would have one profession that doesn’t go with his armor class, but meh.

Here is Olsee a couple of hours later, magically materializing at the Shrine as a fully geared and professionally maxed 90:

Arelin hasn’t been transferred yet because he has to be in charge of my bank guild for a week before he can come, but I am including him in my count here. This gives me a professions count of:

BS: 2 (1 maxed)
LW: 2 (1 maxed)
JC: 2 (1 maxed)
Engineering: 2 (1 maxed)
Alchemy: 3 (1 maxed)
Inscription: 2 (1 maxed)
Tailoring: 3 (2 maxed)
Enchanting: 3 (2 maxed)

Plus multiple miners, herbalists, and skinners.

Oslee replaced almost his entire set of boost gear with Timeless Isle gear, and promptly ran out to get himself a Crystal of Insanity and a Rime of the Time-Lost Mariner, because … toyz! He handled the elites in the cave with ease. It didn’t take me long to see why Averry has so much fun.
