Dear Warchief

November 16, 2012

You requested reports from the field in Pandaria. I have recently been on assignment in the southernmost part of the continent, in an area known as the Krasarang Wilds. It was there that I ran into a bipedal reptilian species known as the Saurok. I was fighting three of these creatures when, unbeknownst to me, a fourth unstealthed behind me. Suddenly this flying ball of fur and claws whipped past my head, and when I bested my opponents and turned around, this tiny windrider cub had attached himself to the Saurok’s face. Henceforth, he has followed me everywhere, and, given his bravery, loyalty, and ability to watch my back even at such a young age, I thought it appropriate to give him a worthy name. I have long been an admirer of your own Mortimer, and hope that mine will live up to the name.

Datacron Hunting: Dromund Kaas

May 2, 2012

Bah! I forgot BOTH the screenshots of Karius’ transmog outfit that I was going to post today, AND the Korriban datacrons … so we’ll just jump ahead and do Dromund Kaas first. It’s gonna be one of those days …

The first one requires a bit of a balancing act, jumping down onto a duct and crossing it, then jumping onto some boxes. Not too bad though. I think I only fell when I missed the duct the first time I tried to jump down to it. Well, then there was running off the end of it without jumping and ending up back on the floor instead of on the boxes … yeah.

The second one is super easy, it’s just at the end of a path.

I had to grab a shot of the scenery from this spot as well. For all its darkness, Dromund Kaas is still gorgeous if you take the time to sit back and admire it.

This one, you will need a group for if you’re doing these at-level. It’s in a heroic area. There *are* a couple of champion-level mobs around, although if I remember correctly and you know where you are going, you won’t have to kill them. I did, just because I was there on Arelin and could.

The hardest part on this one was finding the actual path. Once I did though, it was easy. If you decide to jump down from here instead of going back the way you came though, beware of the champion-level vine cat that you can see in the distance.

The fifth one requires a little bit of jumping, but nothing too crazy. Once you get on the path past the barricades you just jump down onto the rocks. There’s no way OFF the rock though other than down, and the rock itself is in a heroic area, but you should be able to exit the area safely enough I think. Kroy hasn’t gotten that far, but I’ll test that out soon.

Speaking of Kroy, have I posted him since his darkness increased? I don’t think I have. Well … here …

Maybe I’m weird but … I like it. I sometimes wonder what it would look like on Arelin, but … well …

that Revanite title on him is not just for show. It actually wasn’t even intentional at first, but as his personality developed (helped along by his now-girlfriend Vette of course) the balance within him became who he is. (insert whining from Sorak about Arr Pee) Seriously, check this out …

Just ignore the zero social points there … >.>

Anyway, the only real disadvantage I’ve seen (other than not having the sexy dark effects on his face, but trust me, he’s plenty sexy without them) is the inability to equip any relics while leveling because they all seem to require an alignment. However, with the matrix shard he got in a datacron here on DK, he finally had three and could combine them in the Matrix Assembly Chamber to create a relic without those restrictions. I didn’t look it up, just tossed them in. Apparently I chose well because the one that popped out did in fact have strength on it. And required level 15. lol? Better than nothing though. The last datacron on the planet is also located inside that chamber, although it doesn’t give you a stat boost or shard, just a codex entry.

A Guest Post by Sorak

Some of you may know I play a rogue named Kisara.  This rogue has been shook down for “protection” money from one notorious Falahla…  I figured I better pay up if I don’t want my legs broken!  So I gave her what she asked for and quickly left her presence!

So here it is, a few hours before raid night and I’m getting ready to restock on poisons.  I make my way over to Jasper Fel my supplier,  when I run into Falahla…

Below is the sight I was greeted with!!!!

Needless to say I vanished and GTFO!

All I gotta say is you better watch your back Falahla!!!  Yer goons won’t be around you 24/7!!  And when you least suspect it, I’ll have my revenge!!!!!

Doubly Spurned

February 15, 2011

Kerick was out grinding Lovely Charms and throwing rose petals on Hordies last night in Uldum when all of a sudden, the world turned red.

Oh me, me! Pick me!! I know you want to see my golden locks go up in flames.

I hadn’t actually seen him when Karius got toasted, but I did the same thing then that I did now … frantically turned the camera every which way in an effort to spot him. And then I saw him!

Wait … where are you going? Hey! Get back here!! You were supposed to kill me. *sigh* I hopped on my drake and flew over to where he’d been but I saw nothing burning. I’m not quite sure what happened, but he didn’t seem to have torched ANYTHING. Completely bogus, man. Blizz, fix the fake flyovers, k?

Despite having found both an orc shaman and an undead warrior there, this incident left Kerick feeling pretty angry. He gave up the charm farming and bemoaned the fact that he hadn’t found a troll rogue yet.  Chandrilea came to his rescue though, promising to make one for him. He brightened right up at that proposition, and promptly popped on Crusader Aura and set a course for the Echo Isles.

Now, as we all know, Chan has been Kalyon’s girl for quite some time. But since Kaly’s tanking hasn’t been needed, he hasn’t been around much. So Kerick has been moving in on his turf, and he thought it was going quite well. Why, just this past Saturday he and Chan had a very romantic picnic in Dalaran. They nibbled on Buttermilk Delights, and then flew together to Naxx and Wintergrasp to pity some fools. He was in for a surprise though when he got to Sen’jin.

Well, we know where her heart lies. Poor Kerick completely underestimated her feelings. The bond between healers is great, but can’t stand up to that tank-healer bond. I mean, come on boy, what were you thinking? Kaly has felt the sweet loving ticks of her renews. Chan has stood back to back with Kaly, surrounded by mobs of undead, safe and secure in his Death and Decay. You had no chance.

This is the second human priest that has broken his heart. He is swearing them off for good. Time to find a tank of his own instead.

Five minutes later, he’s off to Halls of Origination with Logarithm for a fun game of “See How Low Log’s Health Can Go” … perhaps someone should have warned him about rebounds.
