Eight

With the Faire around last week, I figured it would be a good idea to get some more leveling done.  Saturday afternoon I finished up with Madorsa.

That makes 8 classes to level 100. Only druid, monk, and priest to go.

Oh. Yeah. You’re probably wondering how I skipped from 6 to 8, eh? Yeah, I boosted Kriann, the dwarf shaman, with the Legion pre-order. I didn’t document it because, well, it’s a boost. I didn’t level her. Well, I did, to 68, but not the rest of the way. So, she counts, but she doesn’t, ya know?

In the course of her adventures in Nagrand, Madorsa ran across Luk’hok, a rare elite elekk that drops a mount, the Mottled Meadowstomper. Now, he’s level 100 and she, at the time, is 98. Yes, I know, warlock OP etc etc but I didn’t even bother. I mean really, I have 7 other classes at max level right? Ok, 4 if we’re only talking about the server group that she is on, but still … I trotted Van out there instead.

I am totally out of practice with him, but I remembered enough to kill the thing without getting myself killed. So, new and totally unexpected mount!

Aside from all that, I spent yesterday working on my seasonal character in D3 since the season ends … crap, Friday. I don’t think I will be completing chapter 4. First off, in order to even get into my set dungeon, I had to dink around with finding the crimson beta drivers for my ‘legacy’ AMD video card so that the game won’t crash if I try to visit the Desolate Sands. Yeah. Next time I’m buying Nvidia. I might be able to get to Greater Rift level 20 and kill Siegebreaker Assault Beast on T4 by then, but I have to do some research on the set dungeon. That might be too much. Still, for a casual player, I’m happy just to have completed my set. I just need the pants still to have all 7 pieces.

Remind me next season to start running rifts at 60 or so, so that I have a collection of greater shards ready for me when I hit 70. I’m behind now because I have to run 2 or 3 neph rifts to get a shard in between each greater rift. Gah.

Rep Galore

The Draenor Dungeon bonus event went perfectly with the title of this blog. Even though Van is the one who has the most reputations already, since I’ve been maining Sanbec I stuck with him. Fortunately, a lot of people seemed to be doing them, because the dps queue was only around 12-14 minutes the entire week. I managed to get exalted with the Council of Exarchs, revered with the Steamwheedle Preservation Society, and honored with the Sha’tari Defense. He also got to exalted with two of the three Tanaan factions doing his quests there while in queue. These got me many pets and mounts.

Aside from that, I’m also still working on An Awfully Big Adventure and getting rep on the Timeless Isle. While Van was there this week, there was a lineup of people on Cloud Serpents waiting for Huolon to spawn. Since I still need that mount as well, I joined in the display.

Also this week marks the beginning of Brewfest. I haven’t really paid much attention to it the past couple of years, but this year they added a pet and toy, and there are at least two other toys that I don’t have, so I figured I might as well do some. It really takes no time at all to get 100 tokens, in fact you can do it in one day. Two of the items I need cost 100 and two cost 200, so I’m doing four characters … two of them only have to go for one day and get the 100 token items, and the other two have to kill Coren for a few days to get to 200. No big deal. It’s really faster this way if you have multiple alts to do all of the intro quests on instead of trying to earn all of the items with one character.

Of course, Karius had to stop for a selfie after killing Coren Direbrew.

This week’s bonus event is pet battles, so you can bet I will be out there leveling pets!

Van Who?

I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I’ve, uh … well, I’ve sort of gotten sucked into the whole Twitter thing which I had avoided for years but since the selfie cam, well … it’s just so EASY to press that little button and send a selfie out into the world. So almost all of the shots I’ve taken have gone straight onto there, leaving me feeling like I really have nothing to post that hasn’t already been seen. But those are just snapshots and don’t come with much commentary, so here’s a little update on what’s been going on.

Junahu has mostly taken over as the main. Not surprising since I have been leaning that way since the first day the new Tauren models were previewed. She’s done the entirety of Blackrock Foundry. Still only on LFR, I have no desire really to step up beyond that, but it’s fun. Van and Sanbec are still plugging along though, doing a wing of BRF here and there. I just … 900 elemental stones is nothing short of stupid. Maybe they drop more on higher difficulties? I don’t know. But if you’re only doing LFR, it’s going to take a long, long time to create those 3 elemental tablets. It’s super easy to lose steam on this stage of the legendary quest.

Arelin has done the first wing of Highmaul, and needs only 1000 more apexis crystals to move on to collecting bro stones. Hm … isn’t there one more heroic in there somewhere? I should turn in his cores, I forgot he’ll have to go kill Teron’gor. Kirgra is slightly behind, still needing to do two of the heroics for that first stage. Two of my other alts have maxed out their garrison resources, so I’ve also been leveling them so that they can get to 100 and spend them.

I’ve posted Alestav the undead rogue before having fun with Glyph of Disguise. But that was before selfies! It’s even more fun now.
