That Makes 8

October 2, 2017

Faire time! Let’s hop on the carousel and get those alts rolling. Pretty epic ding here by Professor Paddey on Coren Direbrew to make priest my 8th class to 110.

He had a couple of pieces of unsullied gear from Kerick’s adventures on Argus, as well as ilevel 885 BoE gloves that dropped for Oranis in Tomb. (I almost said Nighthold, that’s how much I skipped over Tomb of Sargeras. I only just finished it in LFR on Saturday!) I sent him out to do the WQs that awarded gear upgrades for him. He has to do a dungeon to advance his class campaign though, so I’m holding off on those until next week when the Legion dungeon event is the weekly. That also gives me enough time to get him geared enough for heroics.

The other four classes (monk, demon hunter, death knight, shaman) are all at 108 or 109 so it won’t be long. No hurry though, as I’m still working on 3 class mounts plus now Paddey as well.

Speaking of class mounts, Madorsa finally got around to getting her demon horseys.

Or two of them at least. I’ll need to wait on the rare spawn to get the purple one.

Hunahuna the druid is on the second to last stage, the mission. She was stuck on the 3 rare elites for awhile but finished her balance weapon this weekend so I went and got her bear claws. Having had such success with Kerick going prot for Argus, I figured going tank with her should get me past the elites. Even if I couldn’t solo them, as a tank I’d only have to wait for one dps to come help. Well, I *was* able to solo the third one .. barely. I learned a lot by not having any help. She’s looking forward to finishing and getting to Argus.

Sanbec is actually on the class mount scenario. However, Blizzard made the warrior scenario a little more difficult than some of the other classes’ questlines, and I was unable to do it at his sad ilevel, even after going prot. He’s collecting gear and should be able to manage it soon.

Juna is the farthest behind .. or was until Paddey dinged. She is on the stupid Sentinax marks. Easy enough for her as a hunter, I just need to be motived to bother with it.

Hello 2017

January 17, 2017

Yeah I know, we’re already 17 days into the new year and here I am *finally* posting. But I figured I should at least toss up an update on how things are going.

WoW
Oranis got a legendary in one of his emissary bags finally, Marquee Bindings of the Sun King. These give a chance for your next non-instant pyroblast to deal 300% more damage after consuming hot streak. Normally I NEVER hard cast pyro, using it only with hot streak. But this certainly makes it worth it, even with only a 15% chance. I still won’t usually cast it mid-fight when I’m running solo, preferring to use it to pull the next mob. Coupled with my favourite trinket, the Devilsaur Shock-Baton which slows the enemy when it procs, most things burn to ash without even reaching me.

Junahu finished her hunter campaign so I am essentially done with her. Kerick and Hunahuna, who reached 110 over the weekend, are both working on their campaigns and did the World Quest event over the weekend to get the bonus rep and the 5k resources. I suppose I should get back to work on leveling someone else to follow them. I think Kroy and Sanbec are probably the furthest along.

Hearthstone
I posted awhile back that I was having problems deciding what to craft next. I finally decided on Tirion even though I’m not really playing paladin right now. Anyone who has been around this blog for any length of time will not be surprised, though, as I am a longtime Tirion fangirl. It just seemed wrong to not have him in HS, especially since they killed him off in WoW. 😦

Summoners War
Who … what? This isn’t a Blizzard game! Heck, it’s not even a PC game. You’ll just have to bear with me because BigBearButt posted about this game a couple of times and got me hooked. No I mean really hooked. Like, I’m looking stuff up and making spreadsheets hooked. Yeah. So, probably none of you will know what I’m talking about but that’s ok.

My Dagora is 5* and over 23k hp so he’s able to solo Tamor 3 Hell to level up my other mons. I also have Belladeon and Konamiya 5*. I don’t know who to 5 next .. I have Ahman, Chasun, Shannon, Bernard as likely candidates .. Darion is still 3* but I could easily evolve and level him by the time I have the mats to do a 5. I have some other good 4s that I definitely want to evolve at some point, too, but I’m not sure they should be next .. Mikene, Platy, Shimitae. Honestly though it’s probably between Bernard and Chasun. From what I’ve read, I’ll need Bernard and Shannon for my giants 10 team for sure. Then again, I’ll need Mikene to fuse Veromos, so … yeah. Either way, whatever I do will be for building my GB10 team. I probably should have done Shannon instead of Konamiya but his cleanse is so useful everywhere …

Play Time!

October 13, 2016

At the end of the workday, I will officially be on vacation for a week. That means extra time to play! It probably also means no posts. Sorry about that.

The other day I was browsing Warcraft Pets to see what I had missed so far. (Note to self: remember to visit the ley ruins in Northern Azsuna at night for that manafiend.) I had done all the quests at Bradensbrook, or so I thought, but had totally missed Grumpy in the burning farmhouse! Look at this cute little face, I think he’s my favorite pet so far this expansion, and I missed him!

So I quickly read the notes and most suggested getting Fighter Chow food for the quick regen because running through the fire hurts, especially if you stop in the wrong place and are still in it. But it also said there was a clear spot on the landing, and a clear spot around Grumpy himself. So Hunahuna went and used her answer to all things that cause damage when you run through them … bear form! (If you remember, she used it in her artifact quest to run through the grabby spirit arms instead of using her ranged Solar Beam interrupt to just stop it from being cast.) It worked perfectly, and Grumpy was mine. Yay!

Week’s End Roundup

September 16, 2016

I have four characters now that have at least made it to 101 to get their order hall missions going. I should probably get more of them going, but a couple of them have run out of resources so I’ve gone back and quested on them again to build up some more. I’m really in no hurry.

So I went back on Oranis to do a little bit more work in Azsuna. The quests at Nar’thalas Academy were especially fun. The combat practice from the tomes was my favorite.

He finished the questline for the pillar and, like Juna, got an instant dungeon queue. Um … ok then! I didn’t like Eye of Azshara near as much as Neltharion’s Lair though. Maybe it was just the difference in class. I felt like I spent more time running around avoiding stuff in this dungeon than I did in the other one. That’s always less of an issue on the hunter. The run was smooth though.

He’s out of resources again so out he’ll come tonight, whether to finish the questlines I didn’t do in Azsuna or to move somewhere, I’m not sure.

Hunahuna also ran out of resources, so I did a little more in Val’sharah. So far I’m liking the zone but I’m not sure I like boomkin. She may end up getting set aside in favour of the kitty.

Ysera’s new model looks great! For awhile at least.

The other character who got his missions going is Kroy. He bounced around some because of profession quests, starting in Azsuna to find Fargo Flintlock, then moving to Highmountain to find the mining trainer, which was an adventure in itself. I had no idea how to get up on the mountain. I eventually found my way up the wrong side, which was ok because I got to see this wonderful view.

And I also found this little family just chilling out on the mountainside.

Eventually I ran into an area that I thought might take me where I wanted to go, but I had to get past a max level boss creature. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try stealthing by him, even though I knew it was probably futile. On the plus side, as a ghost I was free to roam the peak and figure out how to get where I wanted to go. THAT was easier than figuring out how to get back to my body, so once I knew how to get to my quest objective I took a spirit rez and got there safely. Once I had the flight path there, I didn’t need to know how to ride there. At least until the next character with mining needs to go there … hmmm.
