I haven’t had much to say this week because I’ve been offline for most of it. I logged off LAST Thursday at bedtime, and didn’t really get on again until last night because my parents were in town visiting me. Well, ok, I got to play for an hour Wednesday night. That was long enough to run through the Heroes of the Storm tutorial. Since I’ve just barely started I don’t have a lot to say about it yet. I’ve played two practice games, which are myself and four AI teammates against five AI units on the opposing team. I played one as Raynor, the character you start with in the tutorial. That was ok. I shot stuff. They other one, though, I played as Uther. THAT was a blast. I know, I know … I’m sure some of you can not understand how following my teammates around and healing them could be more fun than blowing shit up but … well, just be thankful that some of us DO prefer playing support roles. It allows YOU to spend more time blowing shit up.
I haven’t ventured into cooperative yet. I want to try out other characters and learn some of the maps (both games so far were the Haunted Mines) and I’d rather do that solo. So I have really barely scratched the surface. But so far, it seems like it will be a lot of fun. I doubt it will be something I spend hours at a time playing. I suspect for me it will be more like Hearthstone … play a game or two and then hop over to WoW. But we’ll see. I am definitely looking forward to spending more time with it.

Hehe…I suck at DOTA-style games so I’ll probably be staying away from this one although playing the Lich King sounds pretty tempting.
Is it still in Beta?
