Got One Too

May 8, 2014

Ever since Cococat posted about her new man, I’ve checked my local AH daily. The pets I wanted were showing up, but not at the prices she had seen. Patience finally paid off last night.

Thanks to having moved pretty much all of my characters to the same grouped pair of realms, it didn’t even take all of my gold, just most of the gold on one of the two servers. :D

Tracking Complete

April 10, 2014

So, Juna has gotten all of the trackable hunter pets in Pandaria. She got super lucky with Hexapos and, um … what’s the basilisk’s name? Rockhide? Yeah. Both of them she found pretty much right away the first time she went looking. Bloodtooth and Bombyx in Krasarang were very easy to find as well. She spent the most time in the Jade Forest. Between the large phased area that Glimmer paths through, and the way Savage’s prints blend in with the forest floor, these were easily the two most difficult ones to track.

Now, based on what I had read, both at the Wowhead guide and at WoW Rare Spawns, it seemed like Patrannache would be the hardest one to find. And it is true that his tracks are really hard to see. But on about my fourth visit to the Valley, I spotted them. I tracked him through the swampy area east of the Heartland, but lost the trail just north of Halfhill. Fortunately, thanks to the many screenshots Euphyley has posted, I knew that his trail would take him directly under Darkhide. So, being a lazy sort anyway, I parked my behind near the big mushan and just kept a flare under him until the bird appeared.

Now for her next project. Let’s see … she has just over 100 Halaa battle tokens. She can go grind Oshu’gun Crystal Powder and get one of the two Halaa talbuks. She also needs to finish grinding Wolvar rep to get Sholazar Mercenary.

Also, Arelin’s transfer is complete. He has joined the rest of my crew on the Norgannon side, bringing Wega’s old bank guild with him. So now I have all of my professions together.

Looks Like Spring

March 21, 2014

Actually, no, it doesn’t. It snowed last night. Yeah …

At least in-game it’s always spring somewhere. Van got Norushen’s shield on heroic the other night, and since it’s green and shiny he wanted to show it off. So he has a new transmog. What better place to go green than at the farm?

Last night, finally, after at least three previous sightings of tracks but no bug to show for it, Juna managed to be in just the right place at the right time to capture Glimmer. Of course, the first thing she did was try out the water walking ability.

And yes, this IS three posts in a week. Truly a sign that I am in a good place right now in WoW.

Blogiversary 5

February 7, 2014

Dear drivers,
Snow on the roads is not an excuse to ignore traffic laws. To the guy who didn’t even slow down for the stop sign on the corner by my house, you are an asshole. The neighbor kids wait for the bus on that corner.

Ok, on to the business at hand. Five years ago today, I wrote my first post….

actually, I don’t really have much else to say about that. How about we look at what I did this week instead?

Heroic Immerseus

So now I’ve downed 2 heroics, without killing Garrosh. Amusing, isn’t it? hehe. The trick on this fight is that the boss gets a buff which puts stacks of a debuff on you, and you spawn adds for each debuff … so the dps has to be careful to only get the amount of stacks that we can deal with, and then get OFF the boss and kill the adds. To do this, we all stack in the large area near the stairs, which means we get a TON of puddles there. Then in the splitting phase, people have to spread to their designated slices quickly enough to handle those adds, then come back in time for the next phase.

Well, we were all feeling so good after killing him, that we had a mammoth party while the raid leader was explaining the differences between normal and heroic for the Protectors fight.

WoWScrnShot_020414_213649

I felt kinda bad for him, it sure seemed like no one was paying attention to him, but he kept right on explaining. We didn’t get it down, but we got some good practice on it and I’m pretty sure we can do it.

RaF Fun

Wednesday night I got my Tauren ladies through Thousand Needles and Tanaris. They’re all ready to go to Un’goro Crater tonight. They had a lot of fun hanging out in the Needles though. Between river boats, water striders, seahorses, and aquatic form, they had many options for dealing with the water.

Kovok!!!

So I was checking the AH on my Alliance server last night before heading to the Faire. There are always a ton of pets posted there, like 12 pages worth. I saw some things I was considering, like a Rascal-bot that was already level 20 and was under 10k, but then I saw this for only 6800 …

WoWScrnShot_020614_184014

Now I can have Kovok with me wherever I go. He’s so cute!
