Ok, ok … enough with the cracking of whips, I’m working on her! Madorsa quested her way through Un’Goro Crater this weekend, finishing up her time in old Azeroth. She had stayed in the Eastern Kingdoms up until now, but I hadn’t seen the changes to this zone and wanted to find out for myself why some idiot human is yelling about dragons all the time. Seriously, Maximillian is worse than the Sha of Anger. And that quest … well, it’s silly, but I can’t say she didn’t enjoy riding around with him, especially the last part.

She did have to spend the last level and a half in the Blasted Lands, which was ok because she needed more runecloth and a lot more enchant mats to get her professions up to Outland mats. Averry had sent me a full mail of mageweave to get me past that hump (thanks again that was super awesome!), but I didn’t want to bother him for the runecloth as it is easy enough to farm. So I sent the DK on a mission to Blackrock Spire. She ran upper to get the attunement for BWL, zoned out to sell things on the mammoth, then ran lower. That gave me a ton of cloth and, well, a few greens. I finished up the tailoring but was still far short on the enchanting, so I sent her back out … first to MC which was a complete waste of time other than one pet, and then to AQ easy. That was reasonably productive but geez … there just aren’t enough green drops. I gave up for the time being and sent Madorsa to Outland.

Kal’gore is shy and refused to face the camera. Voidwalkers … *rolleyes*

Hellfire was not too badly crowded and I wandered around doing quests until 60. Then I headed to Zangarmarsh and CRZ hit me square in the face. The first quests are rough even with no competition, but with at least 6 other characters also trying to kill the same mobs? Mayhem. Or, rather … a whole lot of standing around looking at a village full of corpses. I mean, the witchdoctors were always scarce compared to the other mobs. And once I did get through that, the next place is the cave where you kill bog beasts that are attacking sporelings. Yeah … I literally spent 45 minutes running circles in that place. Respawns died as fast as they spawned. Exactly WHY do they want the leveling process to be so painful? I don’t want the world to feel more populated, I want to be able to kill what I need and move on! Eff CRZ!!

*ahem* Anyway … I moved back to Hellfire for a little bit until I hit 61 and got a quest to head to Swamprat Post, where I could pick up several quests that weren’t concentrated in a small area. I think now that I have the freedom to move around the map it will be better. It was time for LBR though, and as luck would have it, the schedule this week was AQ! There were only 3 of us, but Flags and Cain were nice enough to carry Madorsa through the first one. I swapped to Kirgra for 40 though … it would be tough keeping a level 60 alive in there. I got a few mats, not as much as I was hoping but it did help. Supplemented by the AH, I managed to get Madorsa’s enchanting to 300 before logging for the night.

Warglaives of LBR

I’m a terrible person. I showed up late for LBR .. when I’m supposed to be one of the persons doing invites! I blame Garrosh.

Anyway, I logged on 10-15 minutes late and whispered Flags … fortunately he was on and had gotten things going. Heck, they already had one boss down in Black Temple. Yay! After a quick glance at the raid makeup, I swapped to Dyle since there were no clothies. We had a warrior, paladin, hunter, and rogue. And my priest. I goofed around in shadow for a few pulls then decided that even though I hadn’t even touched the spec in months, I’d be better off playing with bubbles. That worked out pretty well; I think I did more damage with smite than I was doing as shadow.

I was hoping for some tier, and was not disappointed, as I got both the robe and the shoulders. I also got a cool wand and this other set of shoulders. (Hmm … do I have to have a wand equipped to mog a wand? I guess some of those restrictions change in the patch ya? I might have to check into that.)

We got to the end and that LBR magic kicked in.

Thankfully we had people along who could use it. It looks very good on Surriah, don’t you think?

The other people there are Taoiseach, Hornrook, Dyle (me) and Thunderhuf.

We also hit up SSC and that also went well.

Afterwards I did a bit of traveling to turn in my tokens and put him in a suitable transmog instead of the mishmash of rags he was in. I ended up using the non-tier Blood-Cursed Shoulderpads instead, because I found this Crimson Felt Hat and Barbaric Cloth Robe in his bank and decided it would look awesome, especially with the guild tabard.

It also looks pretty awesome with the umbrella, but I’m not sold on the mace he got in one of the first quests in Pandaria. It matches ok but I don’t really like the style. For now though, it will do. He definitely looks a lot better than he did before!

Hmmm those boots and gloves are all wrong though. Oh well. :p

Seeing Red Again

So, last night was LBR. I guess people had a lot going on this week, but as long as there is more than one person on, we can always come up with something! So I invited Kamalia and Helke into the group and we discussed where to go. With all of us saying ‘it doesn’t matter to me, whatever you want to do is fine’ I suggested AQ since the original plan was Throne of the Winds and Kam and I were already near there. All of us still needed pets from there, and Helke had a mage to swap to so we could down Viscidus, so off we went.

First pull, a red drops.

Helke and I both had it already, but Kam still needed it. Yay Kam! She has the best mount luck, seriously.

Second pull … another red drops.

Crazy, eh? Unfortunately, the luck didn’t quite transfer over to the pets, although we did get the Anubisath Idol to drop. We also cleared the whole place, including (oh geez I almost typed Anub’arak .. what’s his name again? Oh yeah, C’Thun) the final boss, without a single death. I thought that was pretty impressive. Even though it is old content, there are a good number of things in there that can often lead to losing someone… usually in C’Thun’s stomach where you can’t even mass rez them.

Next week is Alliance side on Sunday at 8pm EST, but I will not be able to attend. I’m pretty sure Healblade will be, though, and possibly JD, too! So if you have an Alliance character at least level 60 and want to have fun in some old content, come join us! (or them. heh)
