Hangin’ With Khadgar

October 16, 2014

I only had a couple of hours last night to play. So I figured I’d take Juna down to the Blasted Lands and check out the invasion. I’ve always been a fan of Khadgar, so I couldn’t pass up the photo opportunity when she ran into him.

She’s so cute!

The questline was pretty fun. I like the new quest help features. It made it very easy to figure out where to go to find the objectives. I’m still a bad hunter, but I managed the named quest ogre plus a couple of adds without much trouble. I’m not sure what my ilevel is but the quest rewards were all upgrades so yeah.

Get used to the femtaur screenshots. I do think I will be playing her first for now.

Sadly, once she finished the questline, I was, once again, not really motivated to do anything more. I messed with Kerick’s face and hair a bit more, but ultimately ended up back in Mount & Blade. I suppose tonight when I have more time I might try LFR. I haven’t done the updated UBRS (or is it LBRS? See, I don’t even know) and I would still like some Garrosh heirlooms. Those do drop in LFR, right? I hope? I should probably also at least read up on how to play my classes now with all the changes.

and Victory

Thankfully, we did extend the raid and did not let Thok escape. We had one really frustrating wipe at less than 1% … we’re talking like 5M health left on the bad boy. But we got back up and kept trying until finally we had enough people alive long enough to get out of that fire phase and have enough dps left to get him down.

We’re skipping Blackfuse for now and moving on to Paragons so … off to study!

Spoiled

July 11, 2014

Still not much going on, but I’m eating up all of the beta news coming out, especially stuff about garrisons and pets.

I did get my heroic Spoils kill in recently though, so I figured I should at least post the screenie from that.

Might play around with my little Draenei monk this weekend after seeing the preview of the new male Draenei model. They look awesome!

It Goes To 11

Well, that’s it. Finally there. All eleven classes at max level.

There were so many lockboxes in my guild bank that I couldn’t take it anymore, so over the last couple of evenings I took Al out questing. As always, he had a grand time with his Glyph of Disguise. He turned into mantid …

and also into saurok. Apparently the disguise didn’t fool Kovok, though. Perhaps it was the smell … I’m sure Forsaken and saurok both smell bad, but not the same kind of bad.

The first thing I did was buy flying for him because, well, if I do anything at all other than open lockboxes, he’s going to want to fly. He nearly made back as much as he spent when he opened all of those boxes, though. Then I had Oranis dig out some Timeless gear to send him. Hmm … that helm looked awesome on a femtaur druid but on him? yeah … no. Might have to spend some of his lockbox gold on transmog.

Side topic … the Azeroth Choppers bikes are done! What did you all think? I loved the shine and polish of the Alliance bike … but those tank treads. I’m sorry, but tank treads are not Alliance. I totally would have voted for that bike if it had wheels with some shiny silver spokes. They could have done some aluminum and bronze to compliment the awesome metalwork on the rest of the bike and I would have blown the dust off my Alliance just to ride it. Oh well. Now, a trike with tank treads on the back and an oversized front tire SCREAMS Horde. I’m fond of trikes anyway so … yeah. It’s not pretty but then, it’s not supposed to be. It is, however, badass. Van can’t wait to get his hands on it.
