I may have mentioned yesterday that Van got his epic flying over the weekend. Well …. I enjoyed it so much that I finally broke down and blew Arelin’s little stash of gold. Lyssi, you can stop threatening to send me money now, woman!
That poor dragon was stuffed into Arelin’s bank for so long, I’m surprised his wings aren’t atrophied.
The difference between 280% and 310% is tiny and not worth it IMO … but the difference between 150% and 280% is huge. And, since Arelin will be keeping his mining and will be doing the ore farming to supply both himself and Van, well … geez, am I really still trying to justify the expense to myself? I mean, you guys know all this already.
Slight tangent here … have any of you ever run into the same dude over and over as you’re leveling? There’s this one mage that Van has bumped into off and on since they were put in Ramps together. So, I was almost but not really surprised when I was doing the airship ride into the Twilight Highlands, and guess who was there doing the phased opening quest chain with me? Now, I have no idea whether this guy recognizes the fact that we keep bumping into each other. We never talk, or wave, or even acknowledge each other’s presence. (Well, ok, this time we did buff each other.) Just, whenever I happen to be in the same place with a troll, I mouse over the toon and go ‘oh, it’s him.’
Ok, back on track. We’re waiting at the Southern Rocketway Terminus for the airship to show up, and I mouse over this mage. ‘Oh, it’s him.’ Except NOW .. he’s riding a bronze drake and wearing ‘of the Nightfall’. My first thought is ‘must be nice to have guildies who will run you through that stuff just to get a mount’ … and my second thought is ‘well hell, *I* have guildies who would do that, too, all I have to do is ask!’
So last night, after I log on and do my cooking/fishing/tourney dailies and run a random (got VP) … I check in guild and see that Cayle and Lion are both on and in Orgrimmar. So I’m like ‘how many people do you think it would take to get a drake out of CoS?’
Cayle says ‘One. Want to try it?’ For a moment I’m confused, thinking he means I should try to solo it. Then I get it.
‘You mean two?’
‘Yeah’
‘Ok, I’ll take the portal to CoT and summon you there.’
I swapped to heals, he stayed in frost. No surprise, he’s always tried to tank real things in frost anyway. At least here he can get away with it. 
It went quickly and smoothly. Only part that sucked is, well … if they’re going to make me human, they could at least make me look GOOD! Cayle complained, but at least he got to look halfway decent. He even had Kaly’s hair!
He’ll probably never admit it, but I swear he came and stood still right next to me JUST so I could get a screenshot.
And of course, a shot of Van on his new mount. Nothing wrong with his sparkle pony but … well, it’s not a dragon.
Later on I asked if anyone wanted to help with the Crucible of Carnage. I was overwhelmed by the response. We had six of us out there! Unfortunately, the Alliance rogue who seemed to be afk next to the questgiver decided to un-afk in the middle of one of our fights, and brought a bunch of friends to harrass us. We decided it wasn’t worth the trouble and put the rest of it off til later. I’m still a bit annoyed about the whole thing, but oh well. I’m sure we’ll get it finished … maybe we can go back tonight. Honestly, considering that other than a couple of gankings, it’s the only time I’ve had any problems while playing on a PvP realm, and I really can’t complain too much. And I totally love the willingness of the entire guild to come help! (I think there were 8 of us on at that point and the other two were lower levels, so it literally was the whole guild)

For CoS you really just need someone who can take a hit and someone who can cast a healing spell. I know I two manned it with a level 80 pally tank on my boomkin. I think we had almost 10 mins left when we were done.

I died once in that CoC fiasco, but it was because I judged the quest dude and he hits hard. lol. I killed the cat druid who was beating on me. He was horrible.

They were not very good PvPers…..the rogue died from a SHADOWFIEND…a freakin shadowfiend….then again I was chasing him and spamming moonfire on him….
The Dk….was trying to kill us and save his priest buddy…but roots solved that….he was human come to think of it….why didnt he use Every man for himself…./facepalm.
I did think getting the achievement was funny. Make love not warcraft lol.

First of all, any rogue that dies to an underleveled shadowfiend no long deserves to be called a rogue IMHO. That’s just bad…really bad. Until further notice, he is now a Rug.

I had the running into someone repeatedly experience on my Shaman for a while. There was one pally that kept getting grouped with me as a DPS, I was usually heals. We never mentioned it, just kept happening. I didn’t even think he realized it. At one point, we got grouped with him as Tank and myself as DPS. The initial healer we had with that group sucked and left about halfway in. Rather than do the LFG thing, he says “Wanna heal V? ur a hella lot better than her.” Long story, I know…but yeah, I know that feeling.

I always run into the same people when I am leveling. And they usually kill me. Granted they are usually 85′s that keep showing up after I kill there friend/guildy/etc multiple times. They also never wave or nothing

I must be doing it wrong. Roz helped a sexy draenei hunter kill ogres in Hyjal … and Van waved and flirted with an adorable little gnome mage in Uldum. I’m supposed to be killing them instead?
