Got home from work yesterday, planning to just say hi to whoever was on google chat and then go get some housework stuffs done. Ha! Nice try.
Jaarka is all like, “How do I get to Wintergrasp?” So I explain it, then log on Roz just in case he wants me to show him the portal room. “Oh the battle’s about to start and I’m in a group, want to come along and show me what to do?” Hellz yeah!
Zomg, I forgot. I FORGOT! How could I forget? …. how much FUN it is to be an arcane mage in WG. I blew up so many people with my arcane missiles. We lost the fortress but damn … I had 235 kills and earned 10K honor. 10k HONOR! I do believe when vacation is over, Roz and I are going to have to spend some quality time in BGs again.
After that was over, I did manage to squeeze in some housework and dinner type activities. Then it was on to Winterhoof, where a certain very awesome person had suggested running my cute little mage through a couple instances to try to get to 30 and get his horsey.
Stocks in less than 30 mins? Check.
Gnomer in 40 mins? Ahahahahaahahh! Trout my dear, you were, well, a bit off on that one. Between a quest that I forgot to do on the first try, going back in to clean off my grime-encrusted objects while Schubert kited bosses back to the safe zone (lulz), and picking up a followup quest and going back in yet again (twice) … yeah. By the time the Hordies called me away to tank regular Nexus, they must have thought Schubert and I had been turned into troggs or leper gnomes.
Nexus went quite well. Of course, Ditz has his tanking spec and something like 467 defense, so he’s adequately geared for it. I like tanking that instance so much. There aren’t any weird things like dark smash or pound or any of those special attacks that require me to get out of the way. Oh, and I macroed my rune strike onto scourge strike and blood strike, so … that was one less button I had to worry about pushing and of course it resulted in more rune strikes actually getting used.
Afterward, Jaarka and Ditz went fishing in Org for awhile.
Then after all the Hordies went to bed … I snuck back on to Winterhoof to turn in Karius’ quests. Six bars….SIX BARS from getting my super awesome horsey. Gah! Oh well, you know what this means, right? Pics tomorrow! He’s getting a pinto, just like Karon’s. <3

Wintergrasp! That was it!
Ever since I entered the strange world of WotLk at a measly lvl 68, Wintergrasp has always been one of the top things on my mental ‘Things I really hate now but really should do once I hit lvl 80′ list. Damn, I’ve been lvl 80 for like 3 weeks now and I’ve still only been in Wintergrasp once in my life. (That disastrous first time at lvl 68 that sparked my hatred of Wintergrasp…)
